Building Permit
The Village of Drummond was originally a streetcar community of Washington, DC, and remains a closely knit neighborhood of single-family homes. The Village’s permitting process seeks to balance individual property rights with respect for neighboring properties, public safety, and the greater good of the community.
Â
The Village of Drummond regulates buildings, demolitions, and work within the right-of-way. Building Permits are required for all new construction, removal or demolition of any building, and any material alterations or additions to the exterior of any existing building.
Â
In addition to a Street Work Permit for any work in the right-of-way, a Public Right-of-Way Agreement may be necessary for any improvement that is permitted by the Village.
